Eleanor Deeley has won a coveted national award which recognises women leaders within traditionally male industries.
Eleanor, Joint Managing Director of the Deeley Group, won the Freeths Woman with Edge Award at the Women of the Year Awards.
The Women of the Year Awards were held at the Hilton Birmingham Metropole and are a celebration of achievement which promotes positive female role models who provide inspiration across all areas of society and the business community.
It was the 41st annual award ceremony and attracted hundreds of guests to celebrate the achievements of individuals who have made an outstanding contribution to their business sector or community.
All proceeds from the event are donated to the chosen charities of the Women of the Year and this year the event continued to support The Prince’s Trust: Women Supporting Women.
The event saw three awards presented over the course of the afternoon, including Women of Achievement, Woman with Edge and Business Woman of the Year.
The Freeths Woman with Edge Award recognises courageous, female business leaders who have demonstrated the courage to make significant changes in their industry.
Eleanor was one of the eight finalists, with a judging panel selecting the final winners.
Eleanor said: “I’m surprised and honoured to have won the Freeth’s Woman with Edge 2023 award.
“I would like to congratulate all the other winners and nominees, it was a wonderful afternoon celebrating strong female leaders in business.
“It is vital to encourage female role models and break down stereotypes in order to attract more diversity into all sectors of industry.
“I would like to thank all of the amazing women and men that have supported me throughout my career.”
