New appointments at the Deeley Group

A dozen appointments have been made at a leading Midlands contractor and developer as it forecasts a bumper year.

Deeley Group, which is headquartered in Coventry, has made 12 new hires across the construction, homes and developments areas of the business, since the start of the year.

The business delivers a wide range of projects across the Midlands and has been operating as a family business for more than 85 years.

The group of new starters range from trainee to management level and join as the firm is forecasting turnover in excess of £60 million for 2023/24.

The new appointments bring the firm’s total number of direct employees to more than 75 staff.

Deeley Group has bolstered its development team with development manager Tony Corbett and development graduate Kyle Govind.

Kyle’s appointment continues the firm’s commitment to providing opportunities for training and development of young people in the property and construction sector.

The business joined The 5% Club initiative in 2018 to monitor its pledge to providing opportunities for young people and currently 12% of the workforce are apprentices, graduates, trainees or completing Further Education courses.

Dave Brennan, Francis Cawley, both project managers and Richard Bamford, contracts manager, have joined the construction arm of the business to manage new projects.

They are joined by estimator Karl Hoare, senior quantity surveyor Leanne Neal, design and build manager Simon Lowe and Ian Farquhar, design and building co-ordinator/BIM manager.

A further appointment has been made at management level for the construction arm, with Mike Pickston joining as aftercare manager to utilise the team’s new aftercare and quality management application.

Annmarie Grove has also been appointed as financial controller for the group, with Anais-Rebekah Carbon joining as an administrative assistant.

Eleanor Deeley, joint managing director of the Deeley Group, said: “We have enjoyed a strong 12 months at the Deeley Group, and this has put us in a good position to be able to provide fresh opportunities to join our business.

“The culture of our business is at the heart of everything we do, embracing our values of integrity, partnership, community, respect and agility.

“Deeley Group is committed to enabling team members to fulfil their potential in the industry and provide opportunities for development.

“We are pleased to be able to welcome 12 new members to our family to support our continued growth as a business.”
