A new Costa Coffee drive-thru restaurant has opened for business in Stratford-upon-Avon, following the completion of building works by a leading Midlands developer.
Deeley Construction, which is headquartered in Coventry, have created the £730,000 development on Shipston Road in partnership with Bird Group, which has created 13 full-time and part-time jobs.
The new drive-thru has welcomed its first customers, and partners in the development have raised a coffee cup to its completion.
The Costa Coffee drive-thru features an innovative roof design from architects Corstorphine & Wright, and is the latest addition to Rosebird Retail Park.
Costa Coffee has a signed a 15-year lease agreement on the site with the Bird Group, as the UK’s biggest coffee store franchise continues its nationwide expansion strategy.
Eleanor Deeley, joint managing director at Deeley Group, said: “We are proud to have partnered with Bird Group to create this new drive-thru restaurant, which further strengthens an already popular community and retail hub in Stratford-upon-Avon.
“Deeley Group has a successful history of delivering projects on retail parks and this is the second Costa Coffee drive-thru we have created in the last two years. Roadside retail continues to be a thriving sector, even in the current economic climate.
“This is a really interesting building with the innovative roof concept and it really stands out on the retail park.
“It’s great to see people already enjoying the new restaurant and bringing additional footfall to Rosebird Retail Park.”
Tony Bird, Chief Executive at Bird Group, added: “I have worked with Deeley Construction for many years on a variety of projects, and The Bird Group was very pleased to find this excellent space for Costa.
“We always enjoy working with Deeley, especially as Peter Deeley and I went to the same school in Leicestershire.”
