Deeley shortlisted for two national awards

A Midlands developer has been shortlisted for two national construction awards.

Deeley Group, which is headquartered in Coventry and operates across the Midlands, has been shortlisted in two categories at the Construction Awards of Excellence 2023.

The UK Construction Awards of Excellence 2023, which are powered by the National Federation of Builders, are the UK’s only truly independent awards and recognise the gold standard of practice in the construction sector.

Deeley Group has been named on the three-company shortlist for ‘England and Wales building contractor of the year – turnover over £30 million’.

The group posted a turnover of £46.4 million for the year to 30 April 2022, which is a rise of more than £10 million from the previous year.

It has also been shortlisted for ‘The Roger Humber, UK large house builder of the year – over 51 units per year’.

The award recognises the house builder which has been outstanding in project delivery, build quality, customer service, health & safety and environmental standard – while also demonstrating good use of technology, specialist skills and innovative thinking.

The awards will take place at the Tower Hotel in London on Thursday, April 20, 2023.

It follows recognition for the business from the National Federation of Builders in 2022, when joint managing director Eleanor Deeley was named as one of the Top 100 Most Influential Women in Construction.

Eleanor Deeley, joint managing director of the Deeley Group, said: “We’ve had a very strong year and to be shortlisted in these two categories is a fantastic way to close 2022.

“The group has completed projects across a wide range of sectors, with a particular focus on building our expertise in retail, care and Extra Care sectors. To have been shortlisted at these awards run by the NFB is great recognition for the high-standard of work that our teams have delivered this year.

“We are proud to have been nominated in both of these categories and we look forward to celebrating the best of the construction industry at the event in April.”
