A homeless charity has thanked the Deeley Group for pledging money that has “warmed hearts and changed lives” this Christmas.
Deeley Group has long been a supporter of the Helping Hands Community Project, which offers compassionate and practical support to vulnerable members of the local community affected by homelessness and trauma.
In its role as a Leadership Pledger, the firm donated £1,000 to the Leamington-based group’s matched funding campaign Warm Up With A Hand Up This Christmas.
The donation helped the charity raise close to £30,000 over the course of the campaign, designed to bring more people out of the cold over the winter months.
Jacqui Grove, Fundraising and Communications Coordinator at Helping Hands, said: “Thank you to Deeley for being one of our incredible Leadership Pledgers during the recent Warm Up with a Hand Up Big Give campaign.
“Your generosity helped us reach an astounding total of £29,634.75, far exceeding our £20,000 target!
“This campaign is about supporting vulnerable individuals in our community during the cold winter months by funding essential services like meals, counselling, and housing assistance. Deeley, your support has truly warmed hearts and changed lives—thank you!”
Helping Hands strives to provide immediate relief and long-term solutions for those impacted by homelessness, addiction and domestic abuse through services including soup kitchens, support groups, counselling and practical projects.
Deeley Group staff have volunteered at soup kitchens for the charity, collected for this year’s Christmas shoebox campaign and last year donated more than 80 items of clothing to support the charity.
