Deeley Group and Housing 21 win national recognition for partnership

29 September, 2025

A partnership between a Midlands contractor and a leading provider of Retirement Living and Extra Care has received national recognition.

Deeley Group and Housing 21 have been named Best Partnership of the Year at the HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards 2025.

The awards were held at Grosvenor House Hotel in London and recognised achievements in the senior housing sector.

The partnership has worked together to deliver 230 high-quality homes across Northamptonshire, Oxfordshire, Shropshire and the West Midlands.

Over the last six years, Housing 21 and Deeley Group have driven an investment of more than £65 million and created Extra Care homes at the heart of communities, with hundreds more homes in the pipeline.

It comes as the partnership progresses work on key sites including a cohousing scheme called Rupali Court in Birmingham, and Extra Care development Fern Meadows in Faringdon, Oxfordshire.

Recognition at the HealthInvestor Seniors Housing Awards follows on from a double win for the partnership’s Sandstone Court scheme at the National Federation of Builders Construction Awards of Excellence last year.

The scheme, with sustainability at its core, was recognised for Excellence in Sustainable Construction and named Residential Development of the Year.

Eleanor Deeley, Joint Managing Director at Deeley Group, said: “We have been working together with Housing 21 for more than six years and we’re delighted that our work has been recognised as Partnership of the Year.

“We’re proud of how the partnership continues to create important homes and sustainable communities across the Midlands and surrounding areas, from Extra Care to cohousing schemes.

“It was a great opportunity to reflect on all that we have achieved together at the award ceremony, but as we look ahead we are looking forward to continuing to build on this success and create more homes that meet the needs of residents.”

Tony Tench, Deputy Chief Executive at Housing 21:  “We are honoured that our longstanding partnership with Deeley Group has been recognised with the Best Partnership of the Year Award. Our collaboration has enabled us to deliver high-quality and affordable housing that supports older people to live well with independence and dignity.

“This recognition reflects the shared commitment and dedication to  address the housing needs of an ageing population. We look forward to building on this success as we continue to deliver innovative and sustainable housing solutions for our residents.”
