Trainees, Apprentices & Work Experience
Our commitment to Trainees & Apprentices
Our aim is to give young people with no skill set the opportunity to train up and develop a trade.
We encourage the use of trainees on our sites and regularly work with local schools and colleges to develop our programme.
We currently have seven trainees working for Deeley Group on a full-time basis:
- Three Management Trainees
- Two Surveying Trainees
- One Estimating Trainee
Our site management trainees currently work on our affordable housing developments and gradually increase their experience through new tasks.

Virtual Work Experience
The COVID pandemic has changed how we all work in the business world and also in schools. We have therefore created a virtual work experience tool which showcases the benefits of the construction industry to pupils by teaching them about our site set up, transportation and environmental considerations.
The training can be accessed here: Deeley Group Work Experience
Work Experience
We often support local schools and colleges by placing school and college students on 1 or 2 week work placements.
They will gain an insight into the construction industry by working with the following teams:
- Site Management
- Quantity Surveying
- Administration
- Financial Accounting
- Design & Build
- Site Engineering
- Business Development & Marketing
A recent PR & Marketing placement intern has shared with us her experience of working at Deeley Group:
