Woodside Place, Telford

This new 33-bed complex care services is the third development that Deeley have built in partnership with Exemplar Health Care.

Woodside Place has generated around 100 new healthcare jobs in Telford and features 33 large bedrooms with en-suites.
The care home features communal dining and living spaces and sensory bathrooms on each unit, as well as a central activities hub, a therapy room and a large accessible garden.

The home was designed by Leeds based S+SA Architects and it specialises in supporting adults living with acquired brain injuries, complex mental health needs, dementia and physical disabilities.

Exemplar Health Care, has over 40 care homes across the UK and is a leading provider of specialist nursing care for adults living with complex and high acuity needs, such as Huntingdon’s disease, acquired brain injuries, or physical disabilities.
Exemplar Health Care works in partnership with NHS commissioners and social care funders and their homes enable people to be cared for in the community, rather than in a hospital setting.

Charlotte Lloyd, Director of Commissioning at Exemplar Health Care said: ” “Our aim is to make every day better for our residents by providing person-centred care that focuses on maximising independence, building everyday living skills and empowering people to live as fulfilled lives as possible. We do this through a unique small group living care model, with ten residents per unit, which provides a more homely, supportive, and responsive care environment.”

“The home is creating around 100 new healthcare jobs, whilst enabling individuals with complex care needs to return from a hospital setting to a complex care home, so they can live closer to friends and family. It’s our ambition for the home to be a place where our residents can play a full part in the local community whether through work placements, local events or volunteering.”
