Deeley Construction has supported another partner in the Healthcare sector to deliver care for people with complex needs.
This 30 bed care home was built on a logistically challenging site, but undertaken with care
and consideration to minimise the impact on the surrounding community.
The development consists of a traditionally built three storey 30 bed care home on a logistically
challenging site in the West Midlands. The redevelopment also comprised of associated boundary treatments, new vehicular highway access, parking and landscaping.
The site was formerly a care unit that required redeveloped and was therefore demolished prior to our start on site.
The remaining area comprised of concrete slabs, hardstanding, asphalt car park area and soft landscaping. We were therefore required to undertake a significant cut and fill exercise to expand the footprint of the site and undertake sheet piling to form retaining walls around the perimeter.
Exemplar Health Care has worked closely with health and social care authorities in the area with the aim to bring this one of a kind facility to Walsall to enable local people who are living with complex needs, or have suffered an accident, to receive the specialist care that they need close to their homes and loved ones.
The home is equipped top to bottom to meet the needs of it’s new residents. Each of the 30 bedrooms come with an en-suite wet room, and the building features high quality spacious communal spaces, sensory and therapy rooms and landscaped gardens for residents and visitors to enjoy.
