This regeneration scheme will help Orbit Homes achieve its ‘2020 vision’ and provide affordable living to local residents
Orbit Homes ‘2020 Project’ has the objective to deliver 12,000 new homes by 2020 and enhance the communities they work within. Union Park is another example of where Deeley Group can deliver to help meet its clients requirements.
We introduced the site to Orbit Homes and worked in partnership with them and our appointed architects Robothams. Via this close working relationship we were able to take this scheme through the planning process and provide a development to meet their budget and specification.
The site had a number of empty factory units and by providing a housing solution, this site will now be fully utilised. The development will consist of 88 affordable homes (49 rent / 39 shared) and 55 for low-cost sale.
By working with the Council and our environmental consultants, the new housing incorporates noise reduction features which will mitigate the impact of the existing local businesses on the development as well as to help the future residents of Union Park.
