This project has hugely benefitted the local community by providing a new church and community hall as well as providing 30 no. shared ownership homes for first time buyers. This combined use of land showcases our ability to bring parties together.
Deeley Construction created a brand new, state of the art place of worship to replace Lillington Church in Leamington, as well as a number of affordable homes on-site and for Orbit Homes.
A total of 30 shared ownership homes, including six apartments, 17 two-bedroom houses and seven three-bedroom houses, have been created thanks to the project, while the new church building will bring a valuable asset to the local community.
The original church building was built in 1966 and was demolished, with the new place of worship opening in March 2019. The new church has benefitted from a new PA system and solar panels on the roof.
During the later stages of the affordable housing build phase, Orbit Homes gained planning permission on a plot to the rear of the site. We therefore worked with them to price, design and construct an additional five bungalows on site.
The church was handed over satisfactorily to the end users and we maintained our excellent working relationship as we continued the construction of the houses on the adjacent site.
