Dawley Road, Telford

This new development for our long-standing healthcare partner showcases their commitment to reducing fossil fuel usage with this full electric extra care development.

The project is the third development we have undertaken with Housing 21 and strengthens our commitment to the retirement living sector

The extra care scheme will accommodate 70 affordable apartments comprising 20 one-bedroom apartments and 50 two-bedroom apartments for those aged 55 years or over.

Thirty of the two-bedroom apartments will be dedicated for social rent, with the remainder available for shared-ownership.
The residential development site comprises a 3-storey building that has accommodation split across all three floors and the main communal areas located on the Ground Floor. These communal facilities include a residents’ lounge, a café/bistro and communal gardens. The café/bistro and an on-site hair salon will also be available for use by the wider local community.

The new MEP building design has focussed on removing gas boilers from the development, instead relying on panel heaters and natural air ventilation systems.

Designed and built to BREEAM “Very Good” this is a new design that we have assisted Housing 21 in developing and bringing to site. It ties in with our Zero Carbon agenda and by utilising the expertise of our Design & Build team and energy consultants we have provided a low-carbon assessment across the entire build.
