Building on our relationship with LondonMetric, we were employed to utilise our expertise of working in a live retail environment.
The works consisted of an extension to an existing unit on the Airport Retail Park in Coventry. A significant ‘muck shift’ exercise had to take place as the footprint of the building was located on a bank which led down to the A46 dual carriageway.
Like our previous work for LondonMetric, we worked in close proximity to the general public and existing tenants in a live retail environment. Due to this, a number of special procedures took place to ensure we minimised our disruption on the retail park.
These included:
• Daily liaison with existing tenants on the retail park
• Creating a dedicated delivery route to the rear of the retail units, therefore removing the need for HGV’s on the retail park
• Public notice boards
• Debris netting around the site
We have strong relationships with sub contractors and suppliers in the region. By using our local knowledge we ensured over 91% of the subcontractors were sourced from the local area driving investment in the community.
