Home 9 Case Study 9 Hartwood, Stafford

Hartwood, Stafford

Deeley Group’s first project for Care UK is a high-quality care home for older people in Stafford.

A tailored care home focused on enhancing the daily lives of its residents.
The home is designed to enable residents to lead active and fulfilled lives, providing ample space for hobbies, leisure, and personal pursuits. The building’s layout incorporates individual suites with dedicated lounge and dining areas to foster close-knit communities within the care home.

The project included the design and construction of a 76-bed care home, along with external works, drainage, and associated services, all carried out at 35 Cannock Road.

The care home was built using reinforced concrete pad and beam foundations. The superstructure consists of load-bearing brick and block masonry, while the roof is a combination of traditional tiled sections and flat roof elements.

Internally, the home features high-quality finishes typical of care homes, including dedicated kitchen and laundry areas.

Externally, the development includes landscaped gardens, paved areas, and a car park for residents, staff, and visitors.

The new Cannock Road care home has had a positive and lasting impact on Stafford and the surrounding areas.

It has created job opportunities during both the construction and operational phases. The care home has become an integral part of the local community, providing high-quality care for older people while contributing to the local economy.

By incorporating spaces for residents to engage in hobbies and leisure activities, the facility promotes well-being and independence, ensuring that residents feel at home while maintaining a connection to the community.
