Belgrade Plaza is the largest and most exciting mixed use scheme in Coventry in recent years and it is an integral part of the regeneration of the city centre including the Ikea store.

The development generated close to 200 new permanent service sector jobs in the bars, restaurants, hotels and car park as well as 500 construction jobs during the building period.

This three acre site was acquired from Coventry City Council in 2005. The first phase of development involved the creation of an award winning 1091 space carpark that will serve the needs of the finished development. The car park was judged a winner at the British Car Parking Awards 2007.

This phase included a 119-bed Premier Inn hotel, Bella Italia & Pizza Express restaurants, Café Rouge, JD Gym complex and 64 residential apartments.

The structure consisted of an insitu concrete frame with structural steelwork at roof level. The external facade consists of insulated render panels, wall cladding and curtain walling.

The area is going from strength to strength with the award-winning Belgrade Plaza multi-storey car park providing circa 1,100 spaces and Phase 3, which is being developed by Downing Group.

This development includes a 600 room, 20 storey student scheme which will include 6,000 sq. ft of ground floor leisure use and 40 apartments.
