Your new role  

We are looking for an ambitious and innovative individual to join our Development team. The successful candidate will support the Development team to deliver an exciting variety of projects from site acquisition, through planning to project delivery and disposal, with support provided through the APC for the RICS Planning & Development pathway.

Key Responsibilities:

Land Finding

  • Liaison with Clients to understand requirements
  • Liaison with Enablers to source opportunities
  • Monitor and update opportunities trackers
  • Production of site location plans and issue to clients
  • Site Visits and initial land assessments

Land Offer & Acquisition

  • Review of all available Technical & Planning documents
  • Instruct layout, valuation and build costs to inform land appraisals
  • Production of offer letters and tender proposals
  • Legal review of land, title and purchase contracts
  • Agreement of onward sale to client and build contract

Planning Promotion & Permission

  • Tracking market for planning submissions and approvals
  • Instructing consultants to prepare technical reports
  • Promotion of land through Local Plans
  • Preparation and submission of planning applications
  • Discharging Planning Conditions

Sales & Marketing

  • Work with estate agents to prepare marketing strategy
  • Design and implement marketing materials e.g. Brochures, Signage, etc.
  • Design finishing specification of new homes
  • Monitor build progress and sales before handing over to purchaser
  • Prepare welcome packs for purchasers and manage customer care


  • Network and develop relationships with key partners
  • Internal liaison with all areas of the business to inform appraisals
  • Housing association, Healthcare operators and consultant engagement
  • Tendering and consultant appointments
  • Preparing supporting information for board reports
  • Build cost database review
  • Competitor analysis
  • Financial reports and appraisals

  • An RICS accredited undergraduate/postgraduate degree
  • An entrepreneurial, organised and tenacious approach
  • An ability to develop a good network of industry contacts i.e. agents, landowners, lenders, funds, occupiers, development partners.
  • Ability to juggle many projects and keep on top of progress
  • Effective communication skills, highly persuasive and confident
  • Ability to work to demanding deadlines. 
  • A hard-working team player
