  • Peter Deeley

    Joint Managing Director

    Peter joined family owned construction company (established in Coventry in 1936) from school in 1958. Worked on site (a good carpenter’s mate), with the Surveyors Department in the office and then in 1961 acted as Site Manager for a new housing development in Balsall Common.

    Peter took over as Chairman of Deeley Group upon the death of his father in 1986.

    In 1991 Peter became Chairman of Coventry Technical College (now City College), Chairman of the Construction Section of the Coventry Chamber of Commerce in 1998 and he is past Chairman of the Builder Employers Confederation (Coventry and Warwickshire) and Heart of England Community Foundation.

    Peter is married with three daughters and enjoys golf and travelling.

  • Eleanor Deeley

    Joint Managing Director

    Eleanor Deeley, formerly a partner at Cushman & Wakefield who headed the Midlands residential team, has been appointed as the deputy managing director of the Deeley Group, a firm started by her grandfather in 1936.

    Eleanor has 20 years’ experience in the property industry, including a nine-year spell at director level at CBRE, and has expertise in housing, mixed-use schemes and land development and investment across a range of property sectors.

    Her role will see her guiding the day-to-day operations of the £50 million turnover firm which includes construction, development and housing, as well as developing a longer-term strategy for the company.

    In January 2022 Eleanor became Joint Managing Director with her father, Peter.

  • David Currie

    Land & Partnerships Director

    David creates partnerships with our Housing Associations and bids on open-market land which he passes over to the Deeley Construction team who deliver new communities. David’s experience in the property industry working with a wide range of Private including landowners, local authorities, Housing Associations, PRS Funds and fellow developers makes him the perfect fit as our Land & Partnerships Director. His years of expertise in residential development helps to ensures integrity and quality is delivered in all Deeley Affordable Living projects.

    David has been a part of the property sector since his sixth form days, and now at Deeley he has the overall responsibility for ensuring regulations are delivered during pre-planning stages, and when handling relationship management with landowners and key partners.

    David is a keen gardener who enjoys a round of golf and some tennis, and is also a fantasy fanatic who has re-read Lord of the Rings and The Hobbit over and over again.

  • Dean Weldon

    Development Manager

    Dean joined Deeley Group in January 2020 as Development Manager following 2 years in the Land & Planning Department for a plc Housebuilder.

    Following his undergraduate degree in Medicinal Chemistry, Dean had a change in career path and obtained a Masters Degree in Real Estate Management at Birmingham City University and is currently undertaking his APC to become a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

    He will be primarily responsible for the Homes and Affordable Living arms of Deeley Group, but will also be involved with development projects of the other elements of the Group.

    Dean is a qualified football referee and a keen traveller – with Borneo and the Caribbean next on the list.

  • Ksenia Mironenko

    Development Graduate

    Ksenia jointed Deeley Group in October 2021 as a Development Graduate following her MSc degree in International Real Estate and Planning at Bartlett School of Planning, UCL.

    Driven by her passion for Real Estate, Ksenia holds a track record in identifying business opportunities, managing projects, and developing connections. Ksenia’s primary responsibilities lie within Homes and Affordable Living sector, but she will also be involved with commercial and healthcare projects through other elements of the Group.

    Ksenia is currently undertaking her APC to become a Professional Member of the Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors. After Ksenia moved to Midlands, she started playing golf, and is preparing to run a half-marathon; conquering Kilimanjaro is next on her bucket list.

  • Martin Gallagher

    Director

    Martin joined Deeley Construction as a Trainee Surveyor in 1988.

    During his training within the company, Martin obtained an Honours Degree in Quantity Surveying at the University of Central England in Birmingham, as well as becoming a Professional Member of The Chartered Institute of Building and The Royal Institute of Chartered Surveyors.

    He has progressed from Trainee Surveyor through to his current role of Managing Director of Deeley Construction Limited.

    Under Martin’s guidance the company concentrates on design and construction and has carried out a diverse range of projects including industrial, commercial, retail, housing and public buildings including schools and colleges.

    Martin is married with a son – who takes up most of his time!  His interests include running, where he has completed the London Marathon in 2016 raising over £7,000 for for The Alzheimer’s Society.

  • Steve Jones

    Director - Estimating

    Steve joined the company in 2008 as Senior Estimator and was promoted to Estimating Manager in April 2010 having previously held the same position at a number of other local construction companies. He was appointed as Estimating Director in June 2010.

    After nearly 20 years experience as a contractor’s Quantity Surveyor he transferred to an estimating role in 1995 and brings a wealth of experience to managing the pre-contract activities of the company. In 1984 he obtained a professional qualification in quantity surveying and became an Associate of the Royal Institution of Chartered Surveyors.

    Steve has a daughter and a son and is a keen golfer.

  • Steve Turner

    Construction Director

    Having completed his A levels, Steve started his career in the construction industry with Deeley Construction as a Trainee Surveyor in 2000.

    Whilst working for the company Steve attended a series of day release training courses which concluded with the attainment of a BSc Honours degree in Construction Technology and Management at DeMontfort University in Leicester.

    During his time with Deeley, Steve has progressed from Trainee Surveyor to Senior Surveyor and Senior Contracts Manager and was appointed as Construction Director in June 2011 and joined the Deeley Group board in July 2019.

    Steve is responsible for the management and delivery of live projects and his wealth of experience within the organisation means that he has knowledge on a wide variety of schemes including housing, hotels, education, industrial and commercial.

    Steve is married with a daughter and a son and is a keen motor sport spectator when time will allow.
