A refurbishment and extension project to an apartment building. The works have dramatically updated the building, whilst still allowing it to blend into its surroundings.
Deeley Construction undertook the project on Castle Mill House in the city for Lucy Properties Ltd. The building was renovated, updated and extended over the course of six months.
It included the refurbishment of 23 existing flats and the creation of four new apartments on the building, designed by The Original Field Of Architecture.
The four additional structures were penthouses with pavilions, designed to offer contemporary living with spire views. Each penthouse sits within a rooftop wild flower meadow and has its own terrace offering a unique living experience in Oxford.
Externally, decorative steel balconies were added to the building to reflect the ironwork produced by the previously adjacent Lucy’s Eagle Ironworks, which was closed in 2007.
